The Infinite Collection

So, while we're in the vast library of the last post, let's examine a book at random. Hmm, no dust to be seen on any volume. Someone takes good care of the infinite collection. Let's just stroll along the mezzanine level and reaching out . . . take a . . . book . . . from . . . there.

There. What do we have? Ah — Translations from the Chinese, by Arthur Waley. Let's see the date, hmm, I always have to think a little harder to figure Roman Numerals . . . ah! 1941 I believe. Only some 70 years ago.

Not a classic, per se, but nice, with nice full-bleed illustrations by . . . Cyrus LeRoy Baldridge. Again, not classic, but serviceable and appropriate to the times of 1941.

Take a look-see.
