A strange week. Whilst enjoying a walk along the cliffs at Grosnez my phone buzzed with a text. My middle son was on the warpath. Bless him he regularly donates technology for me to use. I haven't bought a laptop or iPad for years. That's what children are for. My laptop must be at least ten years old and works well. I use it for my many photos and for some reason I thought all my photos were happily backed up onto the infamous 'cloud'. Not so. He had checked as he was about to give me an upgrade. Smaller and lighter and five years younger. 'A disaster was waiting to happen' and I quote. 'Mother' , was the utterance, if the laptop had failed I would have lost everything......oops So for the last two days there has been much uploading. All is now well. My slimline new model is all updated, the cloud is happily full of my many snaps and disaster can happen to any device and all will be well. Happy sigh. Mind you I have had to endure many lectures about sorting out photos, putting them in folders, ya da, ya da, ya da! So I'm back in business and my wonderful walk along the cliffs can be relayed. A sun filled afternoon with high tide swishing on sun bleached sand. Gatekeeper butterflies in their hundreds, twirling and courting in the August sunshine. Painted Ladies floated about and many Red Admirals fed off Budlehia blooms. Holly Blues merged with the azure sky and Wall Browns basked on the cliff paths. A perfect Summer's day with the icing on the cake in the form of heather beginning to emerge . So how are your technological skills fairing. Are you all backed up? Barbara xxx
