Storm Ciara

The wind is howling around the cottage getting stronger and stronger has each second passes.  The rain too is been thrust against the window panes.  There are intermittent lulls and then it once again reaches its crescendo.  Those are powerful winds...I am so glad that we have the safety of this little cottage to keep us warm and dry.  The much publicised Storm Ciara is beginning its journey across our little Island.  It is certainly the season for storms and once again we are well prepared.  Logs are cut and stored, along with kindling and coal all ready for the stove.  In the event of a power cut we will be warm.  We also have torches, batteries and a camping stove.  Soup is almost ready for a warming meal and the bread is almost ready from the bread making machine.   Mincemeat slices have been made so we won't starve.  The predicted wind speeds here are 70 - 80 mph.  Here's hoping there will not be too much damage.

Stay safe.

See you soon.
