'55 Chevy Panel

Back to customizing after a very long break. The model I chose is a Hot Wheels '55 Chevy Panel from the 2014 Color Shifters series.

For the wheels, I hesitated between and old set of HW Blackwalls or a new set from a Matchbox truck.

I wanted to go for an old school look, so I chose the Blackwalls.

The theme is that of an army truck. As you can see, decals aren't cheap.

I did not use a coat of primer and sprayed directly on the plastic body using an old spray can I had left from a previous custom.

I did some detailing front and back, always a perilous exercise especially when your hands are shaking.

I wanted to use the "Military Police" decal and I managed to screw it up. Damned hands! I had to settle for the "US Army" one which looks kind of tiny on the panel.

If it was not for the decal screw up, I'd be happy with this one. I guess I need more practice.
